Great information Toni! I've thought about this since the last time I saw you monitoring and now you've convinced me the insights are so valuable. Thanks for inspiration and education, as always!
Great post Toni! That table is really useful. I wore a cgm last year and I thought my results were pretty good. So I decided to focus on other things but this post has made me think again. My understanding is cgms are better at measuring volatility than absolute levels. I thought my results were pretty steady but that excellent website says my variability was 17.1% - which isn’t very flash! What surprised me last time was that white rice, brown bread, berries, and porridge weren’t that different to eating sorbet (basically pure sugar) whereas complex carbs kept me very steady. Although the sorbet experiment left me feeling shaky. I’m curious to see how my current breakfast (seeds, oats, protein powder, yogurt, berries, spinach) fares and also chickpea pasta. And I agree oat coffees are yummy…
Super interesting! I’ve always thought it’s a bit OTT to wear a BGM if you aren’t diabetic but that’s a great way to understand behavior and make modifications. And damn it about oat milk, we swapped from cows a few years ago with the idea we were saving the planet.
Really interesting! You've sold me on giving it a try.

Might give it a go!
